Thermopsis Montana
30 seeds
Thermopsis montana, also known as False Lupin, Mountain Golden Banner, Mountain Thermopsis, or Revonpapu, is a plant species which is native of the western United States. The Latin specific epithet montana refers to mountains or coming from mountains.
The most reliable method of stored seed propagation is chilling the seeds in the refrigerator. Chill protected seeds for 3-6 weeks prior to planting. Place seeds in a ziplock sandwich bag and include some damp perlite to provide moisture. Plant the seeds in peat pots. If there is a building, basement, or cold room where temperatures will remain between 40-50 F. (4-10 C.), plant them in moist soil and chill them there for two weeks. After germination, when seedlings in peat pots have two sets of true leaves, they may be moved into the garden or a permanent container. The seedlings can be transplanted outdoors when the danger of frost has passed.
